Tänze der Welt-Concert
The "Tänze der Welt" project unites generations and cultures through music, blending creative workshops, international collaborations, and community events. Inspiring young people with classical music and cultural diversity, it transforms lives and promotes the arts globally.

An unforgettable night of music and creativity
On May 6th, the "Tänze der Welt" concert transformed the Kunstwerk in Wickrath into a vibrant space for cultural and artistic exchange. This event, which gathered more than 300 attendees, marked the grand finale of an innovative project organized by the OPUS 125 Symphony Orchestra.
The concert was the culmination of an intense four-month period of work and rehearsals, involving musicians from the OPUS 125 Orchestra, students from the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, and pupils from the Gesamtschule Hardt. During this time, participants explored cultural expressions, music, and dances from different eras and countries, engaging actively in creative workshops and interdisciplinary activities.
The OPUS 125 Orchestra presented a high-quality program that captured the essence of dances from various cultures, while the young participants shared their creative contributions — a result of the rich interaction between musicians, students, and cultural artists throughout the preparation phase.
The event was widely praised:
“A fantastic concert, full of cultural and musical inspiration.”
“It was exciting to discover how beautiful classical music can be.”
“A professional and enthusiastic performance. An unforgettable experience.”
"Tänze der Welt" was much more than a concert: it was a space for meeting, learning, and collaboration that left a lasting mark on both the artists and the audience.
